To keep sand and grit out, place sizable non-rubber mats at all entrances from the outside.
Put floor guards on all of the furniture's legs (eg felt pads).
When using office chairs with wheels, cover the floor with a chair pad or use wheels made of soft rubber.
Direct sunshine and temperatures above 35 degrees will reduce the lifespan of vinyl floor planks.
Use vinyl only when there is adequate sun protection, such as UV screening, a pergola, a roof overhang, etc. where there are huge glass doors that face the sun. Never rely on blinds or curtains since they will be opened.
Natural ventilation is required for vacant vacation houses to prevent excessive heat build-up, which can harm most floors.
CLEANING
About twice a week, sweep, damp-mop, or vacuum your floor. More frequently in areas with high traffic.
When cleaning a dirty floor, use a damp FLOORWIZ ™ mop and a good vinyl cleaner. Utilize two buckets: one for cleaning the floor and the other the dirty water from the mop (clean water).
Most hardware stores and all supermarkets have vinyl floor cleaning supplies. Abrasive chemicals, powdered cleaners, oil soaps, dishwashing solutions, and waxes are not advised. When cleaning the planks, try to use a biodegradable cleaner that doesn't leave any residue and doesn't need to be rinsed.
Just mix a few caps of white vinegar with half a pail of water to remove mild dirt (apply to the floor using a damp mop).
Use a Scotch-Brite foam pad to remove tough stains or spills.
Extremely unclean flooring should be scrubbed with a vinyl cleaner and a broom with medium stiffness bristles.
OTHER MAINTENANCE
Although vinyl floor tiles are waterproof, floods must be cleaned up and the space needs to be properly ventilated to return to normal humidity levels.
Fine scratches caused by typical use can be repaired by wiping them with mineral spirits first, followed by a decent vinyl floor cleaner.
Applying ice until it gets sufficiently brittle to crumble off will enable you to remove chewing gum, crayon, or candle wax. Mineral spirits can be used to get rid of the residue.
Laminates
PREVENTATIVE CARE
Moving heavy furniture or repeatedly scratching a chair can wear or scratch laminate floors more easily than usual, despite their resistance to scratching. This can be avoided by placing felt pads underneath all furniture.
Keep an eye out for any metal or sharp edges, which are especially prevalent in high heels. This could really make your floor scratch.
Place mats at the entrances. A mat for the outside that can remove dirt and stones is a good idea. To get rid of extra moisture, an interior mat with a thinner backing made of rubber is ideal.
CLEANING
Never mop wet. Water can make laminate floors swell and bubble, which is why they don't like it.
Use a hover with a brush head attachment to remove dust and debris for the initial cleaning.
Make use of a "FLOORWIZ" mop and approved laminate floor cleaners to thoroughly clean your laminate floor.
Spills and leaks must be fixed right away. If you don't have waterproof laminate flooring, moisture can easily damage it. If you spill something, dry it completely to avoid damage.
The relative humidity (RH) of the room should remain between 40 and 65%. A hygrometer can be used to take this reading.

CLEANING
Maintaining your Engineered Oak floors are very easy, requiring only daily vacuuming in most cases. They do not require daily damp mopping; in most cases, spot cleaning with a damp cloth after vacuuming will suffice.
Using a microfiber mop and a good wood cleaning product that we can supply.
A thorough clean can be performed every two weeks.
Depending on usage, oil floors need to be reoiled every 24 months on average. This can be done quickly by a professional or DIY using a buffing machine and a clear oil. In between these re oils it is possible to buff surface scratches and dry spots with clear oil and a microfiber cloth.
Lacquered floors don't need to be maintained on a regular basis. Depending on usage and materials, the floor can be re-sanded and sealed every 5 to 10 years. Lifting the floor is not required. On-site sanding and re-colouring is performed.
Sanding can rejuvenate and alter the colour of engineered floors. This can be done 3 to 4 times with a 4 mm veneer, depending on the colour.
Bamboo
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Keeping the Floor Free of Dust and Moisture.
Regular sweeping is essential because dust and dirt can eventually scratch the surface of bamboo flooring. To ensure that dust and dirt are removed from the floor rather than pushed around it, a soft cloth or pad must be utilized.
Cleaning and maintaining a bamboo floor with a damp mop on occasion is perfectly acceptable. It's important to make sure the mop isn't too wet because bamboo floors can't handle a lot of water.
Clean spills as soon as they occur, in order to stop moisture from seeping into the flooring.
Pot scrubbers and steel wool, two abrasive materials that can scratch the flooring's surface, should not be used to clean the spill. An oily spill needs to be dealt with right away because it could leave a stain on the flooring. After the spill has been cleaned, the floor should be dried immediately.
Products for Cleaning Bamboo Floors Avoid using harsh chemicals or commercial cleaning products on bamboo floors. The floor may be damaged by them.
Tips for Cleaning Bamboo Floors The following are a few cleaning hints to help you get the most out of your time cleaning the floors and avoid damage.
Clean Bamboo Floors Once a Week. Cleaning the flooring once a week is the easiest way to keep it in good condition.
Light mopping can be done in addition to sweeping, which is typically the most efficient method for cleaning this kind of flooring.
Bamboo flooring can typically be cleaned with high-quality hardwood floor cleaning solutions with only a small amount of water and a slightly damp mop.
Wax and non-alkaline cleaners can harm the finish, so stay away from them.
Before using the mop on the floor, thoroughly wring out the mop after using water or other cleaning products. Your floors may suffer damage if moisture is allowed to seep into the seams that separate the planks.
Cleaning Stubborn Spills: For gooey or sticky spills, use a towel or dry cloth to remove as much as possible.
Make sure not to scrub any remaining spills with a damp cloth because doing so will force them deeper into the flooring.
To prevent further damage, immediately dry the sticky or gooey area with a soft cloth and blot it several times until the spill is gone. A spill is less likely to stain or damage the surface if it is cleaned up as soon as possible.
